皮粉-瑞玛唑亮蓝R已被用于：研究从溶组织梭状芽胞杆菌。纯化的胶原酶制剂与细胞毒性样品混合后的底物特异性，用于皮粉天蓝色蛋白酶活性测定。作为高分子量底物用于测试纯化的重组大鼠比库宁、α1-m/比库宁前体以及α1-m对胰蛋白酶的抑制作用。作为底物，通过添加外源柠檬酸盐获得对蛇毒蛋白酶活性的抑制作用。
