Biological Activity

[Description]:

Sulfentrazone is a phenyl triazolinone herbicide used for control of certain broadleaf and grass weed species. Sulfentrazone inhibits protoporphyrinogen oxidase, resulting in the disruption of lipid cell membranes[1].

[In Vitro]

Sulfentrazone persists in soil and has residual activity beyond the season of application. Plants emerging from soil treated with Sulfentrazone absorb the product through the root system and tolerant plants rapidly metabolize Sulfentrazone, whereas sensitive plants die shortly after exposure to light[1].
