【方法一】
薄荷酮含在椒样薄荷和薄荷油，以及香叶油和山毛榉油等精油中。可经真空蒸馏切取204-212℃馏分，将其转变成肟或缩氨基脲，进行重结晶，分离出纯的薄荷酮或异薄荷酮。薄荷酮可由胡薄荷酮或胡椒酮还原而得。
