其制备方法是在反应釜中加入丙二酸钠、苯和异丙醇，在60～70℃滴加硫酸进行酯化反应3～4h。反应后，将丙二酸二异丙酯粗品冷却抽入洗涤釜进行水洗、碱洗，在分离器中分取料液，然后脱溶蒸馏得产品。
