无水硼砂用途

用于优质玻璃，釉药，焊药的制造，作有色金属和合金的助熔剂等。硼砂球实验。用作水溶性胶黏剂的增调剂、交联剂等。硼砂对木材腐败菌如采绒革盖菌有很强抑杀力，可用作木材防腐剂。也用作印染、纺织业的防腐剂、医用消毒剂及土壤消毒剂和除草剂。大量用于玻璃及搪瓷行业，用于制造玻璃、特种玻璃、光学玻璃、玻璃纤维。也是制造硼酸、硼酸盐、各种硼化物、硼砂皂等的主要原料。还用作金属焊接剂、珠宝黏结剂、洗涤助剂、胶木及烟草干燥剂等。用作乳化剂，用于雪花膏。有较弱的防腐力。在雪花膏类化妆品中作碱性中和剂，代替氢氧化钾。

无水硼砂制备

1.由工业硼砂在熔炉内于750℃减压熔融脱水或于1000℃左右高温下脱水成熔融状，经制片或造粒制得。亦可由硼酸和碳酸钠混合反应制得。 2.熔融法将工业硼砂放入熔融炉里，在常压下进行熔融脱水，脱水温度控制在750 ℃以上。熔融的硼砂由熔融炉底部流出，在不锈钢槽内进行冷却，经颚式破碎机粗碎后，再经辊式破碎机细碎，筛选至要求的细度，制得无水硼砂成品。其反应式如下：

3.使纯硼酸水溶液与化学计量的精制碳酸钠反应，所得结晶粗品用合成十水合四硼酸钠的方法精制。水溶液的相对密度为1.19～1.24者，或从80℃的饱和水溶液在65～70℃令其徐徐结晶，即可制得五水合物。将水合物加热至400℃以上，即可制得无水物。首先在水蒸气浴上干燥，再在空气浴中加热至200℃左右，最后在电炉中加热至700℃，即可制得无水物。 4. 在反应釜中加入适量的水（或母液）后，开动搅拌，按照一定的液固比加入粉碎后的硼矿石，升温到60～70℃，加入碳酸钠和一半的碳酸氢钠，恒温0.5h左右；继续升温至80℃，加余下的碳酸氢钠，恒温1h左右；最后升温至沸腾约106℃，保持反应1h左右。反应完毕后，将料浆过滤，分离出残渣，溶液冷却结晶出硼砂产品，母液返回配料，循环使用。 5. 加压碱解法　将预处理的硼矿粉与氢氧化钠溶液混合（氢氧化钠理论量为160%～200%），在装有搅拌器的碱解器内加温、加压使之分解，反应压力为0.4MPa，反应时间为6～8h。碱解后的料浆用叶片真空过滤机和逆流洗涤，然后通入二氧化碳进行碳化。碳化完成液冷却结晶、分离、干燥，制成品。
