由2-乙基己醇与三氯氧磷进行酯化反应，生成磷酸二异辛基酰氯，用碱液使酰氯水解得钠盐，经硫酸酸化而得。

1.酯化在搪玻璃反应锅内，先加入三氯氧磷，搅拌冷却，在10℃以下滴加2-乙基正醇，加毕继续搅拌1h，慢慢升温至20-45℃排氯化氢3h，再升温至45-50℃，用水喷射泵抽氯化氢气体3h，最后升温至50-60℃，在80kPa真空度下排氯化氢气体3h。

2.水解在水解锅内加入20%液碱，搅拌，在60℃以下滴加上述酯化产物，升温至80-90℃，保温1h，静置15min，将下层废水放去。在搅拌下加入30%液碱，升温至120℃回流1h，静置15min，下层碱液放出回收。水解锅内物料在80-90℃用3%碱水洗涤后供酸化用。

3.酸化水解物加入10%硫酸酸化，温度50-60℃，酸化1h，放去下层废酸水。加水洗涤。最后在薄膜分离塔中加热至110-120℃除去水及低沸物即得成品。工业纯度≥90%。原料消耗定额：2-乙基己醇1100kg/t、三氯氧磷590kg/t。
