由氯苯与乙酐反应而得：把无水三氯化铝、无水二硫化碳与干燥的氯苯一起加热、搅拌，在微沸时慢慢滴入乙酐。加完后搅拌回流1h，回收二硫化碳。反应物冷却到室温温热时，在搅拌下慢慢倒入含有盐酸的碎冰中，分层应清晰，如不清晰，应补充盐酸少许。在此溶液中倒入少量苯后提取，收集油层，水层再用苯提取一次，将提取液与油层合并，用约15%的氢氧化钠洗去酸性，再用水洗至中性，干燥，减压蒸馏后，收集粗品馏分，将其冷冻48h后，分离母液，将结晶熔化即为成品。收率83.1%。
