Abstract

The probable odour threshold of 3-phenoxybenzaldehyde (3-PBA) in the ambient air was estimated at 0.225 mg/m3. The maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of 3-PBA on a single exposure was recommended to be 0.09 mg/m3. The mean daily MPC of 3-PBA was proposed to be 0.03 mg/m3. The substance is regarded to fall in hazard class III.
