Biological Activity

[Description]:

FSC 231 (FSC231) is the first, cell-permeable small-molecule inhibitor of PICK1 PDZ domain with Kd of 10.1 uM; inhibits the interaction between GluR2 and PICK1, accelerates recycling of pHluorin-tagged GluR2 in hippocampal neurons; blocks the expression of both long-term depression and long-term potentiation in rats and murine hippocampal neurons.
