[Description]:

Melarsomine is a trivalent arsenical compound used as an adulticide. Melarsomine can be used for the reserach of canine heartworm disease and other helminth infections[1][2].

[In Vivo]

Melarsomine (2.5 mg/kg; deep i.m. injection) combined with Doramectin managed to clear the D. repens infection in dogs[1]. Melarsomine (0.25 mg/kg; deep i.m. injection) can cure T. evansi infection in camels[2]. Melarsomine (0.5 mg/kg; deep i.m. injection) can cure T. evansi infection in dairy cattle in Thailand[2].
