BI 456906 potentiates glucose-stimulated insulin secretion from rodent and perifused human islets and potently inhibits glycogen synthesis[2].

[In Vivo]

BI 456906 reduces food intake, gastric emptying, and improvements in oral glucose tolerance in dose-dependent in single administration to lean mice[2]. BI 456906 led to bodyweight-lowing in DIO mice[2].
