Applications
Neodymium(III) oxide act as colorant agent of glass and ceramic. It also raw material for metal neodymium and high magnetic neodymium ferric boron material. When added to magnesium alloy and aluminum alloy, neodymium(III) oxide could enhance thermostability, gas-tightness and corrosion resistance, which are used in aerospace material. When nano neodymium(III) oxide add in nano yttria-alumina garnet, it emit shortwave laser beam, which is widely for welding and cutting thin type material of thickness under 10mm. In medical industry, YAG laser device doped neodymium oxide is substitute for surgical knifed, which used in excising operation or disinfecting wound.
