Cefaloglycin is a first-generation semisynthetic cephalosporin with antibacterial activity. Cephaloglycin binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. This results in the weakening of the bacterial cell wall and causes cell lysis.
