Use of 1-O-hexadecyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycerol (HAG)C16-02:0 DG or 1-O-hexadecyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycerol (HAG) is a diacylglycerol (DAG) antagonist with a potential to inhibit protein kinase C (PKC) activity. It also has an ability to inhibit growth of human promyelocytic leukemia cell line HL-60. HAG serves as a precursor in the biosynthesis of platelet-activating factor. |
