该品是医药中间体。用于制取普鲁卡因盐酸盐、咳必清、咳美芬、胃复康、延通心等。也用作溶剂,脱除天然气,炼厂气中的酸性气体,如硫化氢及二氧化碳。也可以制取脂肪酸的衍生物,纤维柔软剂,防锈剂,乳化剂,聚氨酯泡沫塑料的硫化催化剂及组分等。

1.将氯乙醇与氢氧化钠在105℃下进行反应,生成环氧乙烷,通入二乙胺溶液中进行反应,在常压下分出低沸物后,减压分馏得N,N-二乙基乙醇胺成品。目前大部分生产厂直接用环氧乙烷作原料。
精制方法:常压或减压蒸馏精制。
2.以二乙胺和环氧乙烷原料,将环氧乙烷加入二乙胺中,在一定温度下反应,所得粗品经减压蒸馏成纯品。反应式如下:
