由氯乙烯在水中氯化而得。先向氯化反应塔加水,在40-45℃通入氯和氯乙烯反应6-7h,氯乙醛含量达9-10%时反应结束,分离副产物三氯乙烷后即为成品。商品氯乙醛为30%,40%或50%水溶液。
