主要采用锌粉还原法。以邻硝基苯甲醚为原料,在碱性介质中,用锌粉还原为2,2’-二甲氧基对称二苯肼,再在酸性介质中转位成联大茴香胺硫酸盐,最后用食盐盐析而得。在反应釜中,加入234kg邻硝基苯甲醚,搅拌下加入50%的液碱2L。加热至65ºC,分小批交替加入液碱185kg,温度控制在74~80ºC。加毕,于80~85ºC保温1.5h,加入130L水,搅拌15min。于80~85ºC分批加入105kg锌粉和180L水,直至淡柠檬色结晶出现,保温0.5h。加入400L,降温至35ºC,经180目筛分离去氧化锌,得2,2’-二甲氧基对称二苯肼。
在转位斧中加入碎冰700kg,浓硫酸360kg,于45~60min内,在0~6ºC加入上述二甲氧基对称二苯肼,保持4h。调整酸度在180~200g/L,待物料自行升温至室温,保持18h。于1h内升温至40~45ºC,保持2h。再于1h内升温至60~65ºC,保持1h。加水约1000L,在2h内升温至95ºC。于93~97ºC在1.5h内均匀加盐750kg。加毕,自行降温至60ºC,再冷却至40ºC,过滤。滤饼用600L饱和食盐水洗涤,得3,3’-二甲氧基联苯胺盐酸盐145kg左右。
