2,6-二氯-4-三氟甲基苯胺在乙酸溶液中于10℃下氯化，生成2,5,6-三氯-4-三氟甲基苯胺，将产物溶解在乙酸中，于常温下与过氧化氢和少量浓硫酸搅拌8h，生成结晶产物，加入硝酸和发烟硫酸，冷却，于100℃生成2,6-二硝基-4-三氟甲基-5-氯苯胺。然后于5℃加到２氨基-3-氯-5-三氟甲基吡啶、干燥的四氢呋喃和氢氧化钾的混合液中，室温反应16h，得氟啶胺。
