  • 用途一:硅灰石在涂料工业中可以作为体质颜料兼增量剂使用。因为它能增加白色涂料的明亮色调,并能长时间保持这种色调。硅灰石的针状结晶使它可以作为涂料良好的平安剂,并可以改善涂料的流平性。硅灰石的粒子形状使它可以作为涂料良好的悬浮剂,使色漆的沉淀柔软易于分散。可以在自清洁型涂料中作为增强剂。硅灰石粉碱性大,非常适用于聚醋酸乙烯涂料,使着色颜料色散均匀。硅灰石还具有改进金属漆防腐蚀能力。除用于水性涂料外,还可用于底漆、中间涂层、油性涂料、路标涂料等,在沥青涂料中可取代石棉。在乳胶漆中能部分取代钛白粉,同时不使白度和遮盖力下降。也可用于冶金、陶瓷、电焊条、塑料、橡胶等行业。
    用途二:可用作橡胶、塑料、树脂、油漆、涂料的填充剂。还广泛用于陶瓷、冶金、建筑、机械、电子、焊接、造纸、农业和汽车工业等部门。硅灰石具有广阔的开发前景。

我国硅灰石矿品位较高,只需进行简单筛选即可得到特级、一级、二级硅灰石矿块。硅灰石的加工主要是利用硅灰石矿块,采用各种磨矿和超细粉碎设备生产各种规格的硅灰石粉,或进行表面改性。

硅灰石粉的制备经拣选除去杂质的矿块送入颚式破碎机粗碎和中碎,然后进入雷蒙磨或其他干式磨矿设备进行磨矿,经过旋风分级获得200目、325目硅灰石普通粉。该普通粉再送入流化床式或其他类型的气流粉碎机中进行超细粉碎,以获得小于10μm超细硅灰石粉或针状硅灰石粉。
