Abstract
• PAH clearance was highest in naïve female mice and lowest in female humans. • PAH clearance rates in male rat were more similar to female human than female mice. • Metabolism of B[a]P was generally more rapid than DBC, regardless of organism. • DBC metabolism kinetics were reduced in the pregnant mouse relative to naïve mice.
