[Description]:

Coformycin, a nucleoside antibiotic, is a potent inhibitor of adenosine deaminase (ADA) from Streptomyces species. Coformycin possesses anti-tumor and anti-bacterial activity[1][2].

[In Vivo]

Coformycin (0.2 mg/kg, ip daily) inhibits adenosine deaminase activity for various tissues, including brain, heart, kidney, liver, etc[2]. Animal Model: Swiss-Webster mice[2]. Dosage: 0.2 mg/kg. Administration: IP daily. Result: Inhibited adenosine deaminase activity for various tissues.
