Biological Activity

[Description]:

Triphen diol is a phenol diol derivative, which has excellent anticancer activity against pancreatic cancer and cholangiocarcinoma, and can induce pancreatic cell apoptosis through two mechanisms, caspase-mediated and caspase-independent[1].

[In Vitro]

Triphen diol (0-10 μM, 48-120 h)可抑制胰腺细胞增殖并诱导细胞凋亡,作用于 HPAC 和 PANC-1 细胞的 IC50值为 8 μM,作用于 MIAPaCa-2 细胞的 IC50 值为 0.8 μM[1]。 Apoptosis Analysis[1] Cell Line: Human pancreatic cell lines HPAC, MIAPaCa-2, and PANC-1 Concentration: 10 μM Incubation Time: 48 h Result: Induced caspase-dependent apoptosis in MIAPaCa-2 and PANC-1 cells, 60% of the cells were in the early stage of apoptosis, and 30% of the cells were in the late stage of apoptosis. Reduced Bcl-2 levels in MIAPaCa-2 and HPAC cell lines.

[In Vivo]

Triphen diol(50 mg/kg, oral gavage, daily, 15 days) 在雄性移植了 MIAPaCa2 细胞系的 Balb/c 裸鼠中,可以显著抑制肿瘤的增殖,并且可以与吉西他滨联用显示更好的疗效[1]。
