[In Vitro]

In the presence of calcium, similar concentrations of robustaside B decreases the extentof MPT pore opening in a concentration-dependent manner but in the reverse order[1]. Robustaside B (0.1mM) and para-hydroxyphenol(0.05mM) significantly inhibits mitochondrial lipid peroxidation induced by the Fe2+/ascorbate system by causing a significant decrease (86.4 and 86.7%), respectively, in the amount of TBARS released by the system[1].
