[Description]:

Heterophyllin B is an active cyclic peptide isolated from Pseudostellaria heterophylla. Heterophyllin B provides a novel strategy for the treatment of esophageal cancer[1].

[In Vitro]

Heterophyllin B (0-200 µM; 12-48 hours) reduces cell viability in the 75, 100 and 200 µM groups, has no effect on 5, 10, 25 and 50 µM groups[1]. Heterophyllin B (0-50 µM; 6 hours) suppresses the expression levels of p-PI3K, p-AKT and β-catenin in a dose-dependent manner in ECA-109 cells[1]. Cell Viability Assay[1] Cell Line: ECA-109 cells Concentration: 5 µM, 10 µM, 25 µM, 50 µM, 75 µM, 100 µM and 200 µM Incubation Time: 12, 24 and 48 hours Result: Decreased cell viability at high concentrations. Western Blot Analysis[1] Cell Line: ECA-109 cells Concentration: 0 µM, 10 µM, 25 µM, 50 µM Incubation Time: 6 hours Result: Decreased the phosphorylation of PI3K/AKT and the expression of β-catenin.
