Biological Activity

[Description]:

Pedunculoside is a main bioactive component isolated from Jiubiying. Pedunculoside exerts lipid-lowering effects partly through the regulation of lipogenesis and fatty acid β-oxidation[1].

[In Vitro]

Pedunculoside is a triterpene saponin extracted from Ilex rotunda Thunb. Pedunculoside regulates PPAR-γ, CCAAT/Enhancer-binding Protein α(C/EBPα)、and SREBP-1 expression as well as inhibited phosphorylation of AMPK in MDI (methylisobutylxanthine, dexamethasone, insulin) induced-3T3L1 cells[1].
