[In Vivo]

Dopamine D4 receptor antagonist-1 (10 mg/kg; i.p.; single) shows inhibitory effect on catecholaminergic systems (DOPA accumulation in the hippocampus)[1]. Animal Model: Male Long-Evans rats (180-250 g); knockout of the DA D4 receptor locus mice (D4 KO); wild type rats (WT)[1]. Dosage: 10 mg/kg Administration: Intraperitoneal injection, single. Result: Increased DOPA accumulation in the hippocampus with no effect observed in the striatum.
