[In Vivo]

The dipropionate of androst-4-ene-3β,17β-diol is highly effective in stimulating the seminal vesicles of the mouse and is more efficient for prolonged stimulation of this tissue than testosterone propionate. When administered orally or by subcutaneous injection, androst-4-ene-3α,17α-diol and androst-4-ene-3β,17β-diol are equal in androgenic potency to testosterone in the chick's comb test[1].
