(2R,4R)-APDC is a selective group II metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs) agonist. (2R,4R)-APDC has anticonvulsant and neuroprotective effects[1][2].

[In Vivo]

2R, 4R-APDC (1-10 nmol; ICV; daily for 14 days) decreases cell proliferation in the dentate gyrus[2]. Animal Model: Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing between 300 and 350 g[2] Dosage: 1 nmol/10 μl; 10 nmol/10μl Administration: ICV; daily for 14 days Result: Resulted in decreased BrdU-immunoreactive cells in the DG.
