Description | ADM 12 (ADM_12;ADM12) is a second lipoic-containing, selective TRPA1 antagonist with IC50 of 7.3 uM for the inhibition of 30 uM menthol-induced currents in cell assay; displays little to no activity for TRPM8 and TRPV4; significantly and persistently reduces mechanical facial allodynia in rats, has potential for treatment of orofacial pain; also reverts oxaliplatin-induced neuropathy and reduces pancreatic cancer cells malignancy by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase IX (CA IX) with Ki of 650 nM, reduces CA IX-mediated acidosis. |
