Description | Carviolin is a compound isolated from the mycelia of the ascomycete Neobulgaria pura. Carviolin inhibits the formation of appressoria in germinating conidia of Magnaporthe grisea on inductive (hydrophobic) surface. Carviolin exhibits moderate cytotoxic, but no antifungal, antibacterial, or phytotoxic activities[1]. |
