Acridine homodimer (NSC 219743), acridine dimer, is a fluorescence dye. Acridine homodimer emits a blue-green fluorescence when bound to DNA. Acridine homodimer has extremely high affinity for AT-rich regions of nucleic acids, can be used for chromosome banding[1].
