In Vitro Lucinactant (140 μL; 24 h and 72 h) provides anti-inflammatory protection compared with an animal-derived surfactant and saline control over 72 h of moderate hyperoxia[1]. Lucinactant (140 μL; 24 h) reduces IL-8 and IL-6 secretion compared with normal saline in hyperoxic exposed Calu-3 monolayers[1]. Lucinactant (140 μL; 24 h) decreases swollen nuclei and intracellular vacuoles in Calu-3 cells after 24 and 72 h of hyperoxia[1].
