以β-氯乙醇为原料,经光气酰化,制得氯甲酸-β-氯乙酯:然后与氨反应生成氨基甲酸-β-氯乙酯,最后与三甲胺成季铵盐反应而得卡巴胆碱:卡巴胆碱的另一种制法是采用氯化胆碱和尿素为原料:当采用配料比氯化胆碱:尿素:亚硝酸钠:硫酸=1:1:1.15:1.35,在60℃反应约40h,能以71%的收率获得得卡巴胆碱。
