[体外研究]

角黄素富集LDL有可能保护胆固醇免受氧化。除了其自由基清除和抗氧化特性(例如,过氧化氢酶和超氧化物歧化酶的诱导)外,角黄素还具有免疫调节活性(例如增强免疫活性细胞的增殖和功能),并在间隙连接通讯中起重要作用(例如诱导跨膜蛋白连接蛋白)[1]。在浓度为0.1至1×1000μM时,角黄素显着降低了肿瘤细胞的总数。在孵育72小时和96小时后,在角黄素浓度为1000时观察到最大的抑制作用[2]。

[体内研究]

角黄素改变组织对氧化应激的保护能力。角黄素以14μg/ kg体重的剂量处理15天导致肝脏掺入类胡萝卜素,其在肝脏中最大并且达到0.52±0.05nmol/g肝脏。谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶活性降低35％,角黄素处理小鼠的过氧化氢酶(59％)和锰超氧化物歧化酶(28％)活性高于对照组[3]。角黄素抑制小鼠乳腺肿瘤的生长,抗肿瘤活性也受补充剂量的影响[4]。在致癌物之前用角黄素补充营养素3周,通过不涉及维生素A原活性的机制导致乳腺癌数量减少65％[5]。

[动物实验]

小鼠：将雌性6周龄Balb / c小鼠随机分成两组（n = 10 /组）。对照组仅接受橄榄油（载体），角黄素处理组每天以14μg/ kg体重的剂量接受角黄素。在治疗结束时，通过颈椎脱臼杀死小鼠并切除肝脏，在液氮中冷冻并储存在-80℃[3]。
