将苯酚及40%的二甲胺水溶液加入反应釜，搅拌混合均匀，冷却至20℃以下，在搅拌下缓缓加入30%的甲醛水溶液，控制在30℃以下加完。继续在25～30℃下搅拌1h，然后升温至90～95℃回流2h。加入食盐使水相分离出来，分取油层进行减压分馏即得成品。工业品含量95%以上。
