Flutimide is a novel endonuclease inhibitor of influenza virus. Flutimide selectively inhibits endonuclease with an IC50 value of 3 μM. Flutimide shows antiviral activity in cell culture. Flutimide can be used for the research of acute contagious respiratory disease, such as influenza[1].
