Target

DNA synthesis[1]

In Vitro 2 mM 2-Keto-D-galactose (Galactosone) causes a comparable inhibition of DNA synthesis. Proliferation of in vitro grown Ehrlich ascites tumor cells is completely inhibited by 1-2 mM 2-Keto-D-galactose without severely affecting viability (dye exclusion test); no phase-specific arrest of cell growth is observed[1].
