苯甲酸制备
1.最初由安息香胶干馏或用碱水水解制得,亦可由马尿酸水解制得。苯甲酸的工业生产方法有甲苯液相空气氧化法、次苄基三氯水解法及苯酐脱羧法三种,而以甲苯液相空气氧化法最普遍。甲苯和空气通入盛有环烷酸钴催化剂的反应器中,在反应温度140-160℃,操作压力0.2-0.3MPa的条件下进行反应,生成苯甲酸,经蒸去未反应的甲苯得粗苯甲酸,再经减压蒸馏,重结晶得成品。用邻苯二甲酸酐脱羧法所得最终产品不易精制,而且生产成本高,只在批量不大的医药等产品的制造过程中采用。甲苯氯化法的产品不适于应用于食品。苯甲酸有工业用、食品用、医药用等不同规格。食品级应符合GB1901-80,含量在99.5%以上,熔点121-123℃,并对易氧化物、易碳化物、含氯化合物、灼烧残渣、重金属、砷含量等质量指标作了规定。原料消耗定额:甲苯1140kg/t、环烷酸钴4kg/t。此外,由甲苯生产苯甲醛时可副产苯甲酸。
2.苯甲酸虽可由甲苯氯化法和邻苯二甲酸脱羧法制得,但目前国内外普遍采用的工业生产方法为以甲苯为原料的液相催化空气氧化法。
将溶有催化剂(奈酸钴、环烷酸钴或醋酸钴)的甲苯和空气分别连续泵入氧化塔(或釜)中,再140-165℃和0.3-0.4MPa的压力下氧化生成苯甲酸。塔顶尾气用冷凝和活性炭吸附的方法回收甲苯后放空;塔釜反应液经常压初馏回收未反应的甲苯、苯甲醇和苯甲醛等轻组分后,再减压蒸馏得苯甲酸;回收的甲苯等返回氧化塔,甲苯的单程转化率可控制在35%以上。
国内每吨苯甲酸的消耗为甲苯1025-1500kg,环烷酸钴约4kg;国外甲苯消耗为每吨820kg。
3.可由氯化苄氧化制得粗品,用冷水洗涤,然后在热水中重结晶。
4.采用水解法和氢化法。水解法:以邻苯二甲酸酐为原料,经水解、脱羧而得。氯化法:以甲苯为原料,经氯化水解而得。
